How often are the vacancies updated?

Our team regularly review the vacancies listed on our website. If you apply for a position that has already been taken, we will email you within 5 working days to confirm this.

How do I apply for a vacancy?

You can apply by sending your CV and cover letter to the contact listed on the vacancy. Alternatively, for a general application, please send your details to hello@watsonbuckle.co.uk. Please put the job title in the subject line so that we can clearly see which role you’re applying for.

Can I pursue a career in accountancy with Watson Buckle if I don't have a degree?

Of course! Watson Buckle supports lots of young people, including A level school leavers on their journey towards an exciting and successful career in accountancy. We openly support those who are pursuing accountancy and tax qualifications.

What level of study support do you offer?

If you are offered a position with us, we will provide study support in all instances where you are pursuing a qualification which is relevant to your role.

Can I apply for a role if I do not meet all the requirements?

We will closely consider all applications we receive, but some of the requirements noted in our job descriptions will always be marked up as ‘essential’ – so please keep this in mind when applying.

Do I need to have a car?

Our offices offer free parking to all staff, but we can also be reached very easily via public transport. Some roles may require driving (audit roles, for example), while others may not, so please check our job descriptions carefully.

Do you offer internships or work experience placements?

We are open to providing work experience opportunities to young people who are interested in a career in accountancy. Please do not hesitate to contact us to find out more.

What does Watson Buckle look for in a candidate?

We are looking for people who are competent, great at building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients, have excellent communication skills and are capable of juggling a demanding yet rewarding workload.

What does the interview process look like?

If your application is successful, we will contact you to invite you to a stage one interview. As part of the recruitment process, candidates may also be sent a competency assessment to complete. For most roles, there is a two-stage interview process, with the successful candidate chosen after stage two.
